We were asked recently if we would rank all the blogs in the Australian’s Fashion Bloggers Database, our answer was: not right now. But there are plenty of fashion blog rankings around who do the job for you, albeit on an international level – which is not necessarily a bad thing as it gives you an idea of where our Australian fashion blogs stand in the international scene.
- Signature9 launched Style99 last year, with the aim to come up with a list of the most influential style blogs in the world. The top 99 are available for public viewing but if you want the full list of 400+ style blogs, you will have to fork out USD$99 for the list. Blogs are ranked according to a range of factors, including: Yahoo links, PageRank, Unique Domain Links, Alexa Points, Delicious Points and Google Blog Links to come up with the final number. I’m pleased to say that my own SASSYBELLA.com is the only Australian fashion blog to makes the list, scraping in at 98 for the month of January 2010.
- Wikio have recently launched a monthly ranking system for the most widely referenced fashion blogs in the world. Of course the likes of The Sartorialist, Style Rookie and Style.com’s Style File rank highly, but I was very surprised (and pleased) to find that SASSYBELLA.com came in number 18 so far this February.
- If you’re looking for a more local list, we have BlogChicks.com.au who put together a list of Top 100 Australian Women Bloggers. Although it hasn’t been updated since last year, the current rankings judge blogs on their Technorati and Alexa rankings with four iBlogFashion blogs making the list: Karen Cheng’s Snippets of Life (9), SASSYBELLA.com (24), Lady Melbourne (46), Individual Chic (98).
